Baptisms and Marriages

Both Fr. Tim and Deacon Cyril administer the sacrament of Baptism and conduct Marriages.  Normally Baptisms take place on Sunday afternoon by prior arrangement.

A central part of pre-marriage preparation is the 'Day for Engaged Couples' which takes place in Maidstone. Couples preparing for their marriage in the local Catholic parishes attend these days. The sessions are conducted by a qualified team of lay married people from 'Marriage Care'. Fr. Tim or Deacon Cyril will advise regarding dates.

First Communion and Reconciliation

Preparation for First Communion and Reconciliation (First Confession) is parish-based. All children are grouped together in a Parish Programme.  The children's preparation takes place once per week.  The parents meet about once per month during the preparation period which is usually January - July. Co-ordinator: Beatrice Tree.

Confirmation

In keeping with the policy of the Diocese, Confirmation is also parish-based. Those wishing to be confirmed must attend a preparation course in the parish during the months leading up to Confirmation.
