About the group

Justice and Peace group is an ecumenical group where representatives of St Peter’s, Holy Cross, and the Methodist Chapel meet three or four times a year. in St Peter’s parish room usually on a Tuesday at 7.30 pm.

Its Chairperson is Marie Quarman from St Peter’s, and Secretary is Helen Judges from Holy Cross.

At our meetings we discuss local and global issues of Justice and Peace and how we could respond to them. Each year we organise an annual service for Justice and Peace which is rotated between the three churches. New members are always welcome.

The object of the group

✠ To act – not just to talk – and to offer parishioners ways in which they can share their resources with less disadvantaged people and contribute in other practical ways to greater justice in the world.

How to get involved

Anyone can join the group. People are encouraged to come to any meeting just to see what goes on – with no commitment to join.
