Fr Oliver Antao will take over as Parish Priest at St Peter and The Good Shepherd on the First Sunday of Advent, 30th November. He’s already visited the Parish and met some of us, and has great plans.
The dates involved for these events are :
Fr Geoff’s last Masses 22nd and 23rd November (although Fr Oliver would like him to concelebrate his first Mass the following Sunday).
There will be a reception for Fr Geoff at 11.30 Sunday 23rd Nov after Mass. We’ve nearly completed a leaving collection, and thank you for your generosity.
Fr Oliver’s first Parish Masses will be on 29th / 30th November (Same weekend as the Quiz Night, and Fr Oliver will be attending. (He’s already placed his order for Fish and Chips ! )
Fr Oliver’s Induction Mass will be on Monday 8th December. This date is at the instigation of the Bishop, who will be celebrating the Induction Mass. Planning has already started and we are expecting a full church, including attendees from Fr Oliver’s previous Parish in Blackfen. There will also be a short reception afterwards.
