Last weekend, St Peter’s launched their Digital Collection Plate. You’ll see it in the entrance hall, just to the right of the main doors.

It allows parishioners and visitors to make a Contactless Donation using their debit or credit cards. There is also facility to use Chip and PIN number if required.

It accepts VISA, Maestro and all other well-known cards.

There are number of preset amounts but the user also has the option to use the ‘Other Amount’ facility.

It allows donations to be made to the normal Offertory Collection, allows for a Second Collection – and of course also for our Anniversary Appeal.

The system also allows contributions which are supported by our Gift Aid scheme. When used for the first time, it will collect some limited details from the user, and these are retained in the system (provided the same contributing card is used).
